Choosing Colors for Crochet Clips, Charms, and Mini Bags
Simple ways to choose crochet color combinations that feel cute, balanced, and personal.

Color changes the personality of a tiny crochet piece faster than almost anything else. The same flower can feel soft, playful, bright, classic, or completely different depending on the yarn combination.
Start with one favorite color
Choose the color you definitely want first. Then build around it instead of trying to choose five colors at once, a process humans have somehow made surprisingly stressful.
Add a soft neutral
Cream, white, beige, brown, or another quiet neutral can help brighter colors feel more balanced. This works especially well for flowers, bows, bag charms, and mini handbags.
Match the piece to where it will be used
For a hair clip, think about outfits and hair color. For a bag charm, think about the bag it will hang from. For a mini bag, choose a combination you will enjoy seeing as the main feature.
Use references when words are difficult
A screenshot of an outfit, cartoon character, flower, room, or color palette can communicate your idea instantly. For custom orders, send the reference in WhatsApp and we can use it as a starting point.
The goal is not to follow a rigid color rule. It is to create a combination that feels like you.
